Meet some of our talented staff

Maria Sall, EP
Rogers, MN

Maria T. Sall started TIPS under the name of Twin Cities Rehab Services, Inc. in July 1994. Maria has a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Physiology from the University of Minnesota. Maria had an additional degree focus of Corporate Wellness and has a minor in Nutrition. Additional certification Maria holds and maintains are Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association and Medical Exercise Specialist from the American Academy of Fitness Professionals. She has 25 years of experience in behavior change, exercise technique and application, work comp, auto and industrial rehabilitation, industrial injury prevention, body mechanics and gait correction. Maria is also the owner of Tailored Injury Prevention Solutions, Inc. and has served as the director for three outpatient rehabilitation facilities. She has created more than 20 videos for industrial use, including the new TIPS presentation series. Maria served as a Master Fitness Trainer for the Army National Guard for 7 years and resigned from the military as a Staff Sergeant E-6.

Maria enjoys kayaking, snow shoeing, hiking and spending time with her two children – ages 19 and 15.


Leah Bond, ATC
Omaha, NE

Leah has been working for TIPS since March of 2007, serving our clients in the Omaha/Lincoln areas. In addition to her client services, Leah also manages both the Nebraska and Kansas Divisions as our IPS Manager.

Leah has a Bachelor’s Degree in Athletic Training from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln, and her Master’s Degree in Education from Arizona State University. In addition to these degrees, Leah is a Certified Performance Enhancement Specialist, Certified Corrective Exercise Specialist, and a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. Leah also worked as the Head Athletic Trainer for the Greek National Softball Team that competed in Athens, Greece in 2004, in Beijing, China in 2006, and in Trieste, Italy in 2007.

In her spare time, Leah likes to exercise, cook, and memorize choreography from Michael Jackson videos. Leah and her husband Eric live in Omaha, NE.


Erica Woodford, ATC
Rogers, MN

Erica graduated from South Dakota State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Athletic Training and a minor in Health Science. She went on to pursue her Master's Degree in Education with a sports leadership and management emphasis from Southwest Minnesota State University. During this time, Erica was the athletic trainer for the women's volleyball and women's basketball programs.

Erica serves our clients in the Twin Cities and surrounding areas. In addition to her client services, Erica is also the IPS manager for Colorado, Washington State, and Illinois. Erica has been involved with virtually all aspects of TIPS operation from creating handouts and composing newsletters to designing products and dealing with databases.

In her spare time, Erica enjoys sports, spending time in the outdoors and reading. Erica and her husband live in Albertville, MN.


Carl Barnett, ATC
Denver, CO

Carl graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Athletic Training from Humboldt State University, and a Master’s Degree in Kinesiology and Health from the University of Wyoming. Carl worked in private physical therapy clinics for 3 years working with work comp and post surgical patients, and helping with rehab, education and strengthening of patients of various ages. Carl began his specialization in low back and shoulder rehabilitation and prevention during this time. Before coming to TIPS, Carl worked for the University of Wyoming for 5 years. He was responsible for the care of athletes in the football, volleyball, baseball, wrestling, tennis, basketball and cheer/dance programs. Carl was specifically trained in orthotic fabrication and screening, and rehab protocols for low back and shoulder rehabs. During his tenure at Wyoming, Carl also developed his skills in educating others as an adjunct faculty in the Athletic Training program.

While at TIPS Carl has been useful in addressing how employees approach their jobs, from reducing carpal tunnel incidence with ATV operation to body mechanics with positioning heavy machine parts. He has also worked closely with local management to help provide improved hands on training opportunities for all levels of employee's.

Carl enjoys spending time with his family and 2 children ages 4 and 19 months. He also plays snare drum for an Irish Pipe and Drum corps that competes in the Colorado region, and loves playing ice hockey.
