Back

Back injuries are the most common type of chronic soft tissue injury. Most people suffer from some sort of back pain at one point in their lives.

There are many reasons for the high rate of back pain. The back is really the center of our body, the source and anchor for our movements. Our body acts like a chain with each link relying on the others to work correctly. If one link in that chain isn't working, all others must work harder to keep up. Because of the central position of the back, everything above the back (head, neck, shoulders) and everything below the back (hips, hamstrings, glutes, feet) can negatively impact the low back.

So, what can TIPS do? TIPS will give you the tools to "even out" those links of the chain. We will help you feel the muscles that need to be stronger and show you simple ways that you can work on improving this strength. TIPS will also show you how to increase flexibility to muscles that are impeding function and work with you and your body to take that extra stress off the back.
