Active Stretching

Stretching muscles is an important part of injury prevention. However, all stretches are not created equal! While the goal of most stretching programs is to lengthen the muscles, Active Stretching does more. Active Stretching helps workers who do strenuous and repetitive motions or static positioning, stay healthy and avoid tight muscles and joint pain.

In the same amount of time it takes to stretch approximately 20 muscles with typical stretching programs, our Active Stretching program addresses virtually all muscles and joints. Additional benefits of Active Stretching include:

  • Increased circulation to muscles and joints.
  • Focus on muscle specific stretching needed for key worksite tasks.
  • Decreases the effect of vibration on tissue by contracting and relaxing the muscles.
  • Resets the normal pattern of muscle contractions to reduce muscle spasms.
  • Improves neuromuscular communication and kinesthetic awareness.
  • Uses whole movement systems, which are more specific to your body’s functional intelligence.

Our clients overwhelmingly report that they prefer Active Stretching over traditional forms of stretching. Understanding how these exercises can be done within everyday activities makes it easy for employees to be successful and consistent – leading to results and improved motivation.
