Injury Prevention Specialist

The key responsibility of this position is to provide work-site injury prevention training to groups and individuals. As an Injury Prevention Specialist (IPS), you will work with individuals to correct physical deficiencies, teach body mechanics, exercise, behavior change, habit change, and self help techniques. Help employees manage and correct physical difficulties and work with employees returning to work after injuries. Identify and assist with correction of ergonomic concerns.

The successful applicant will also work with our team in the development of presentation materials, data collection and client communication. This position requires working varying shifts throughout a Monday - Friday work week and some overnight travel may be required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Athletic Training (Master's Preferred)
  • CSCS or similar certification preferred
  • 2+ years clinical or industrial experience
  • CPR Certification
  • Clean Driving Record
  • Ability to Travel (some overnight)
  • Ability to work Independently
  • A high level of self confidence
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

This position also requires the ability to stoop, bend and twist at the waist. Must be able to stand for extended periods of time and have the ability to get on and off equipment and fit into confined spaces. Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 pounds consistently and push and pull 10 pounds consistently. Requires the ability to speak English clearly and the ability to annunciate and project in a noisy environment.
